Day One of My New Life.
After nearly five years of being limited to leaving the house only when my hips were in alignment, and pain levels being relatively low, now I can leave my house any. damn. time. I. please…
Well, soon anyway… I am still waiting for my wheelchair, though as it is becoming more and more apparent that “accessible” means different things to different people, I’m not sure that other than shopping, it’s actually going to get me anywhere new anyway. Not even the boys school is accessible really :-/.
And unless I don’t mind smelling like I have been living at a dump, I am also going to need to wait for the bathroom renovations so that I can shower before leaving the house.
BUT – funding has been approved for these things – now I just have to wait patiently :-).
I am so so SO excited!!!
